wordsmith who adapts to any situation

Be it broadcast, web, social, print,
short form, long form, formless and void
or stuff they haven’t even invented yet
I’ve never met an advertising medium
whose ass I could not kick.
In the end
it’s all just words and pictures.
I write in Word
But I can write in Photoshop
or InDesign
I edit audio in Audition
(which makes for a nice VO blueprint
for the talent to go by)
I can make videos in Premiere Pro
But don't tell the video team. They hate amateurs.
In short, I’m a creative, not just a writer.
Copywriter for internal ad agency
responsible for communications to consumers,
trade partners and other audiences in
print, outdoor, email, web and broadcast channels.
Work closely with multiple stakeholders
to create effective pieces that align
Brand and Sales goals.
And in general I keep the mood light
when I’m not brooding about a change request.
I started my career in journalism
if you count
delivering The Washington Post as a sixth grader
a job in journalism
I’ve toiled for years
writing things I didn’t like
in-house agencies and outside
Radio and TV stations (NBC)
freelanced for a time,
clients included
Hilton Hotels Corporation
BIC Razors and Lighters, Mark Ecko, Timex
Segway, The Orlando Sentinel, Hoover
Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc.
and Miami Jewish Health Systems.
Now I sell fun for a theme park in Orlando.
